CoD: Mobile has been a huge success and Activision is now developing a mobile version of Warzone. Here’s everything we know about it, including its studios, potential cards, and more.

Activision dominated the first-person shooter market with its Call of Duty games. Titles like Vanguard, Warzone were successful and soon Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will add to the huge fan base.

CoD: Mobile is also hugely successful, and now the developers are looking to make another portable title. A Warzone game that will be available on mobile could be coming soon.

Does Warzone Mobile have a release date?

At the time of writing, we have no confirmed information regarding the release date of Warzone Mobile. However, we do know that major details about the game will be revealed during the Call of Duty Next event on September 15.

Activision confirmed on March 10 that the game was in development, but they haven’t provided a release date yet. Call of Duty Next isn’t guaranteed to provide a release date, but you’ll want to keep an eye out for exciting news from Warzone Mobile.

Ahead of the game’s official announcement, a few leaks suggested the handheld battle royale game could see a release as early as 2022. However, that’s pure speculation, and we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we find out. official release date.

Along with the Warzone Mobile announcement, Activision also said it would be hiring people to work on the project.

Activision aims to hire talented people to help work on the game. “From production roles to engineering, design, art, marketing, and more, we’re looking for game creators, passionate fans, and truly awesome people to join our diverse team, inspired to deliver the next world-class mobile gaming experience to fans,” they announced.

Activision brought together several notable studios and game teams to work on the project. Solid State Studios (Activision’s new in-house mobile team), Digital Legends, Beenox, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware will join forces to develop Warzone Mobile.

Will Warzone Mobile have shared progression with Warzone 2?

Thanks to the meta description of the Call of Duty Mobile Websitewe know the game will feature shared progress. While we don’t know what this shared progression refers to, all signs point to Warzone 2.

We know that Warzone Pacific Season 5 will be the last season of Warzone Pacific. Therefore, a shared progression with the previous iteration of Warzone seems unlikely. Instead, it’s possible the developers are hinting at shared progression with Warzone 2 since it will be a brand new title and potentially launch around the same time as Warzone Mobile.

Warzone Mobile Project Aurora Closed Alpha

Thanks to a Call of Duty blog postwe know that the official codename of Warzone Mobile is Aurora Project. The blog confirmed that development of the game will continue and that a closed alpha period will begin soon, “the game is still in development, and we are in the middle of our first gameplay test in the Aurora Project Alpha closed.

Unfortunately, players cannot register for the Alpha and can only access an early build of Warzone Mobile through private invites.

The developers explained the reason behind the small test group, “the closed alpha is limited in size and with it we’re just looking to start improving tuning, stress test matches, identifying and fixing bugs , as well as to gather feedback and ideas on all aspects of the game as new features are released.

On September 8, the developers confirmed that Warzone Mobile is still in a private Alpha state, but we’ll let you know how to pre-register once that information becomes available.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Verdansk Map

Warzone players are jumping into Verdansk

On September 8, a new Warzone Mobile teaser hinted at the return of Verdansk. Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it looks like players could return to Verdansk when Warzone Mobile is released. This is ideal for players who have requested the return of the card.

Additionally, it looks like the meta description on the Warzone Mobile website also revealed the existence of 120 player lobbies. Since this version of Warzone is on mobile, players might have expected a lower player count, but it looks like the developers are dedicated to delivering an authentic Warzone experience.

Call of Duty data miner TheGhostOfHope also hinted that the classic Verdansk map would make a return, ahead of the teaser.

The leaker also claimed that the Verdansk in Warzone Mobile will be an alternate take on the classic map, featuring a mix of some familiar points of interest fans have seen before as well as new locations.
