Best Modern Warfare 2 Lachman Subclass: Loadout, Attachments, Perks & Gear

The Lachman Sub has already become a top weapon in Modern Warfare 2, becoming the go-to SMG in the beta. Here’s our best Lachman Sub loadout in Modern Warfare 2 to help you start your multiplayer journey on the right foot.

The Modern Warfare 2 beta is finally underway, and players are already starting to shape the game’s meta ahead of its final release on October 28. Some perks and killstreaks were popular early on, but many might wonder what weapons they should use to give them the edge.

While the M4 quickly dominated the assault rifle category, it was the Lachman Sub, better known as the MP5, that established itself as the quintessential short-range weapon.

If you’re looking to run the SMG in your next match, here’s our best Lachman Sub loadout in Modern Warfare 2, featuring the best attachments, perks, and gear.

Best Modern Warfare 2 Lachman Sub Loadout Attachments

  • Recipient: Lachman Submarine
  • Barrel: FTAC M-Sub 12″
  • Muzzle: SA Schalldampfer 99
  • Magazine: 50 round drum
  • Rear handle: LM Cronus Grip
  • under the barrel: FSS Sharkfin 90

We’re launching our best Lachman Sub loadout with the Canon FTAC M-Sub 12″, which improves bullet speed, range, hip fire accuracy, and recoil control. It’s an essential part of this build, as it turns the Lachman Sub into a stronger, well-balanced gun in fights at any range.

Then we left for the SA Schalldampfer 99 to keep your shots suppressed and curb some of the SMG’s pesky recoil, making it much easier to contain when under sustained fire. We paired this with the LM Cronus handle and FSS 90 shark fin to improve both flinch resistance and stability, which is essential on smaller maps where you’ll take damage more consistently.

To complete our best Lachman Sub loadout, you should run 50 round drums. This SMG has a medium fire rate, so the extra ammo in each clip lets you dispatch multiple enemies before worrying about reloading.

Best perks and gear for Modern Warfare 2 Lachman Sub

To get the most out of Lachman Sub’s best loadout in modern warfare 2we recommend you to choose Perk Package 2. It comes with Tracker and Scavenger as basic perks, allowing you to see enemy tracks when chasing them at close range and restocking your ammo once you’ve scored the goal.

Bonus Perk-wise, Package 2 offers Quick fix which restores some health after a kill. You’ll want to get closer to this SMG, which means damage is more likely, so Quick Fix ensures you won’t be left injured and vulnerable for too long.

For the ultimate benefit, this setup gives you Phantom in the late game, keeping you off the enemy’s radar and allowing you to easily get the upper hand on the opposing team.

Finally, when it comes to equipment, it is better to play it safe with Semtex to empty the parts quickly, and Stun Grenades to pull off surprise attacks.

How to Unlock the Lachman Sub in Modern Warfare 2

The Lachman Sub wasn’t actually meant to be part of the Modern Warfare 2 beta any time soon, which means unlocking it isn’t as easy as leveling up. It is also locked if you try to equip it directly from the loading screen.

We’ve covered how to unlock the Lachman Sub in the Modern Warfare 2 beta below:

  1. Choose a perk set that does not include Overkill
  2. Select the Expedite 12 shotgun as your primary weapon
  3. Switch your Perk plan to any option with Overkill
  4. Now the secondary slot will automatically select the Lachman-556
  5. Upgrade the Lachman-556 until the Lachman sub-receiver is unlocked

Once Infinity Ward officially puts the Lachman Sub into the Modern Warfare 2 beta, we’ll update this section with how to unlock it.

Best Lachman Sub Alternatives in Modern Warfare 2

The Modern Warfare 2 beta currently has no other SMG options, so if the Lachman Sub doesn’t work, we recommend the KASTOV-74u.

This lightweight AR is more like an SMG thanks to its mobility, but it still packs a punch at medium range like other weapons in its class.
